Help your nervous system heal

What if you could speak about your trauma without fear and find healing?

With the help of EMDR therapy in Vancouver, you can.

Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside of you because of what happens to you. Going through a traumatic event can be overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. For some, these effects slowly fade over time. But for others, the effects of the traumatic event will continue to trigger a fight/flight/freeze response long after the danger has passed. Sometimes the effects will get worse and the fears will begin to multiply. If left untreated, the pyschological damage dealt to the brain may worsen to the point that life can become unlivable.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Through the groundbreaking techniques of EMDR Therapy and continued therapeutic support, victims of trauma can break free from this cycle and heal their nervous system, turning their post-traumatic stress to post-traumatic growth. Cedar River Counselling offers EMDR therapy in Vancouver and virtually across Canada.

About Me

Hi, I’m Brandon , a licensed counselor and psychotherapist. I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and specialize in trauma recovery. I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle with chronic anxiety—I spent years spinning out with worry and even experienced debilitating panic attacks. I became so fed up with the constant worrying that I chose to reach out for professional help and found the healing I was needing. My personal journey, combined with my professional training and many years of clinical practice, fuels my passion for helping others find relief from their own anxiety.
